Laura Villarreal, 67, peacefully passed away on Saturday, July 22, 2017, surrounded by her loving family.

Laura was born to Santiago Gutierrez and Rafaela G. Gutierrez in Pharr, Texas. Later in her life she became a resident of Brownsville where she had her career as a dietician at Valley Baptist Medical Center. She was deeply loved and will be dearly missed.

She is preceded in death by her son Jesse A. Rios.

Laura is survived by her daughters Sam M. Rios, Laura Vanessa Gonzalez, Cassandra V. Villarreal, her grandchildren and extended family members.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday, July 27, 2017, with recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. in the South Chapel at Trevino Funeral Home. Services will conclude.
As per her wishes, cremation will follow.

    Madre mia,life without u will never be the same for me, how I wish all this was just a dream which in reality that's the only way I can see u now, and like my brother always said "when I die I'll be taking mom with me" well he sure did.. this is not a goodbye momma, it's I'll see you soon and give my brother lots of hugs and kisses from me and tell him I miss him so much.. you will forever be loved and missed cuz you took a big piece of my heart with you..
