Joel Leija, 17, entered into eternal life on Sunday, February 21, 2010 at Matamoros, Tamps.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather; Francisco Leija, uncle; Alvaro Leija and maternal grandmother; Maria De Los Angeles Perez.

He is survived by his parents; Refugio Leija and Anita De Los Santos Leija, sisters; Diana Leija, Perla Leija, brother; Refugio (Miriam) Leija, Jr., nieces; Bernice and Mia Anais Leija, nephew; Rodolfo Leija, godfather; Raymundo Leija, Jr., paternal grandmother; Margarita De La Garza, aunts, uncles, cousins(Leija De La Garza), maternal grandfather; Juan De Los Santos, aunts, uncles, and cousins (De Los Santos Perez) and all his friends.

You will always be in our hearts. We love you and we will never forget you.

Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. with a rosary at 7 p.m. Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at Trevino Funeral Home Chapel. Mass of Resurrection will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at St. Luke’s Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.
